Amy Basbagill and Tricia soon-to-be Greenwell.  She is getting married a week after Josiah and me
My two pretty cousins, Cyndi and Ashley, drove all the way in from Northern Kentucky.  Thanks ladies-- it was great to hang out for the day with you two!
Kyndra and Libby Moore with my sister-in-law, Emily
Our lovely Hostesses, Kari and Nancy.  You did such a beautiful job-- the shower was so elegant, relaxing, and fun.  And the food was incredible! Thank you for all your love and support!
Michelle Goulet made my adorable ribbon bouquet that my cousin said I MUST use at the rehearsal-- so Ashley, I promise to have pictures of my mock bouquet as proof that I took it all the way to Michigan with me JUST FOR YOU!
Old friends: Amy Basbagill and Lindsay Wyatt
My mom in her pretty green dress.  I love kelley green! It's one of my favorite colors and she sure does wear it well!
Sweet little Lilly Claire slept through the whole shower!
Kyndra (and her little one on the way) and me-- her and her husband did our premarital counseling.

These cupcakes were SO DELICIOUS!  I just had to cheat on my diet for them...and it was worth every bite!
the classy set-up...so beautiful!
the LOOT!!  I got so much awesome Pottery Barn stuff...yay!
Before the shower...

Last Sunday (July 26), was my second Bridal Shower here in Louisville.  It was so great to catch up with old friends and to spend time with family.  Nancy and Kari (and Grandma Jane) did an awesome job of setting everything up-- they were the ideal hostesses.  We really appreciate these ladies-- they have been friends with my parents since before Kari and I were born.  What a blessing you guys are to us!  I am so thankful to everyone who came and for all the wonderful gifts Josiah and I received to help us set up our new home!  We can't wait to use all of our new goodies!

Bachelorette Party!

Me and the other bride-to-be, Tricia, who is getting married August 8th
My lovely sister-in-law, Emily, and my precious niece, Lilly Claire
The three Darlings (Brooke, Jenna, & Amy)-- that's what we called ourselves back in the day.  We have known each other since elementary school and were best friends during high school and college.

So, tonight was my last Saturday EVER as a single lady (YAY!!!).  I thought I was just going out with my friend Brooke for dinner, but when I got to Bonefish the host asked if I was there for the Bachelorette party and I said "No, I don't think so."  Well, then he said, "Ooops, I think I just ruined the surprise-- are you getting married?" And of course I said yes and then he took me to a table with two of my friends, gifts, and more friends to come.  It was such a pleasant, humbling surprise to have these ladies take time out of their weekend to spend with me before my wedding.  I am so grateful for these sweet friendships and humbled by their generosity.  Thank you, Brooke, for putting this all together!

6 DAYS!!!!!

Posted by: Jenna

Six days to go and we still have LOTS to do.  Tonight we were working on our budget and now as a result, I have a major headache as I'm typing this!

I still have quit a bit of my stuff to move into the apartment before we leave.  Currently, my parents' basement (where I live) is a complete wreck!  It looks like a tornado went through it.  In fact, I should post pictures just to prove how bad it is...I have bags and piles of stuff everywhere!  On top of that, I'm in the middle of packing our stuff for the wedding/honeymoon, which magnifies the messiness even more!

Speaking of packing, I've been looking at the forecast for Mackinac Island and it's going to be a little colder than we had planned.  So, I have to do a little rethinking on my clothing selections. The past few weeks it has only been in the 60's and 70's (50's at night...buuurrrr!).  Next week it's supposed to be rainy all week and then clear up by Thursday (please pray for good weather while we are there!).

Besides the stressing of packing and getting all of our last minute shopping and dry-cleaning taken care of...we are doing great!  My dress might have to be fitted one more time because I've lost a little weight-- definitely not a bad thing.  My last day of work was today and Josiah is actually working until the day we leave...but only a half day thank goodness!  Also, my last day of summer school is tomorrow-- PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!

Next exciting thing is my second wedding shower on Sunday afternoon.  I can't wait to hang out with all my girlfriends that I haven't seen in forever!

17 Days Till Wedding Bliss...

And it can't come soon enough!  We have pretty much everything ready...just need to start packing!  Josiah got his suit...I'm picking up my dress tomorrow-- all is well!  Please continue to pray for safe travels for us to Mackinac and throughout our honeymoon.  We are just beyond thrilled about everything and can't wait to be married!

Orlando Bridal Shower

We had such a great time today at the shower hosted by Vicki Wilson and her daughter, Jennifer.  Vicki and her husband are good friends of my parents', and Jenn and I have been friends since high school.  We had a lovely group of ladies including:  Darla Catoe, Donna Pounds, Connie Price, Lisa Kennedy & her daughter Ashton, Jessica, Fay Feather, Vicki's cousin Kathy and Kathy Drake.  The menu was homemade from scratch by Vicki's cousin, Mrs. Kathy, and it was delicious!  Heath and Key Lime fruit dip, Pimento Cheese Sandwiches, mini Quiche pies, hot chicken salad, and of course sweet tea!  The cake was made by my friend Miggie's aunt, who is a professional cake baker!  It had strawberry filling and was OUT OF THIS WORLD!  Some of the sweet gifts I (and Josiah) received included our pottery barn plates, a ruffled apron from Anthropolgie, an asparagus platter, tea pitcher, monogrammed throw, monogrammed hand towels, a salad spinner, and much more!  My mom got me so many monogrammed things (note cards, note paper, luggage tags, etc)-- which I just LOVE!  Overall, it was such an amazing day with awesome fellowship.  Thank you again Wilson family for making this day so special...we love you so much!

26 DAYS TO GO!!!!!

Well, it's officially our wedding month and we are BEYOND excited!  Right now, I (Jenna) am in Orlando, Florida for my first of two bridal showers.  It is Sunday after church at our good friend Vicki's house...so I will definitely post pictures of all the fun soon!  I return to Louisville on Wednesday and then have 2 1/2 weeks left of school and work until the wedding week!

On Thursday, we completed our marriage license and sent it up to Michigan to get processed.  It will be ready for us to pick up on the 30th.  It was such a surreal thing getting the papers notarized...we looked at each other and just smiled and said, "WOW!"

When I return from Orlando this Wednesday we will have our last night of premarital counseling with the Moore's.  We have learned so much from them and it has deepened our relationship for sure.  The book we went through was challenging, but in such a good way.  It has stretched us to think and talk about things that we may have overlooked otherwise.

I pick up my wedding dress on July 11th and Josiah's suit will be finished on July 14th.  I still want to get some pretty clips for my hair, but that's pretty much all I have left to shop for.  I've done a little honeymoon-attire-shopping while I've been in Florida, but not too much.  Hopefully I'll get to hit up the other outlet malls before I go back home to Louisville.

Well, I think that's it for now!  Wedding shower pictures to come!!
