18 Month Stats

Posted by: Jenna

We were a few weeks late in getting Greenlee to her 18 month check up, but here are her current stats:

-- Height:  34.5 inches (above 95th percentile)
-- Weight: 28 lbs (90-95th percentile)

 Big and irresistibly cute :)

I didn't get her exact head circumference, but the doctor said it's REALLY BIG....ha.  Luckily, she is perfectly proportionate.  But, the bottom line is we have a BIG little girl :)

Easter in Florida

 Greenlee's Easter Basket

Her favorite thing was the ball...

Greenlee and I at the condo in Florida

Our stellar family Easter picture...she still doesn't understand the concept of smiling for the camera-- much to mom's dismay

Greenlee with her grandparents on Easter.  We went to Westpointe Church for Easter and it was a wonderful service.  Greenlee even did great in the nursery, whereas at our home church she always cries hysterically.  They gave her cookies and let her watch an Easter video so maybe that had something to do with it :)

Josiah and I at Bar Louie in Orlando for a date

Pool time!  She LOVED the pool and cried whenever it was time to leave

 Dr. Phillips community park

 Another wonderful family picture...lol

This isn't in FLorida but I thought it was too cute of her watering my mom's flowers.

30 weeks.  I am now almost 32 weeks, measuring right on track according to the doc, and doing well overall.  I've gained 13 lbs-- last month was a doosie, I ate like a hog on vacation...haha.  I'm starting to get sick of being pregnant-- kinda ready to have my body to myself again.  This child is extremely active...moving, kicking, and jabbing me 24/7.  It will be nice to have some peace and quiet in my tummy again :)  On the other hand, I'm not ready for two kids yet...so it's a lot of mixed emotions for me.  Tired of being pregnant, yet not ready to juggle two kiddos...especially 2 under 2...YIKES!  I keep telling myself over and over that God will get me through and "the Lord is my strength."  Just putting that phrase on repeat in my head for the next few months!

Another Fun Comparison

This is week 27 with Greenlee

Week 29 with Porter

Just thought I'd post another fun pregnancy comparison.  Sorry for the grubby picture of me and Porter-- that was cleaning day, aka no makeup...lol :)  We are going on vacation soon and it's going to be my mission to take LOTS of pictures since this will be our last vacay for a LONG time.  I'll post photos when we get back!

Greenlee 18 Months Old

Here are a few recent pictures of my baby girl at 18 months.  She has FINALLY started saying more than Mama, Dada, and Bye bye.  In the past few weeks she has been saying cheese, car, poop, and bath.  It's so fun hearing her say new words!  We've also been experiencing the wonderful world of tantrums lately.  Not so fun for mom and dad, but I found this awesome parenting book called "Raising Godly Tomatoes" that has been extremely helpful as far as practical, yet Biblical advice on how to discipline and train children of all ages-- even older babies and toddlers.  We are making a little progress as we've started implementing some of those principles.

Here are few fun stats about Greenlee at 18 months:
-- size 5 diaper
-- size 6 shoe
-- 24 mos clothes
-- naps are crazy.  her medicine recently just got changed and ever since then her naps are all over the board.  she goes down at 12:30, but never sleeps the same amount of time.  Some days it's an hour, other days it's 3 hours
-- bedtime is 8 or 8:30pm, she wakes up anywhere from 7:30-8:30am
-- last month she was 27 lbs and 34 inches tall...18 month check up is in a few weeks, so I'll post those stats then
-- eating is improving but still not great.  she refuses to touch most fruits and vegetables, but we keep trying!  mainly her diet consists of PBJ, cheese and turkey tortillas, grilled cheese, cheese, yogurt, crackers, bread, cereal, and chicken nuggets.  We are working hard to improve/expand her diet but as most people know you can't force a toddler to eat certain foods!
-- she LOVES the outdoors.  I try to take her walking most days out of the week or we go somewhere she can play outside.
-- she also LOVES books.  she'll have us read every book in her book stack about 10 billion times. haha.  we are glad she enjoys reading so much!
