Here are some pictures of Greenlee from her birthday party.  We had such a fun time and my mom did such an awesome job making it special.  It was just family and a few friends but it was wonderful.  Greenlee got her Minnie Mouse theme (did I mention I HATE characters??!! ha) and some awesome gifts:  art supplies, Minnie mouse stuff, a giant tunnel, and a bike to name a few.  I still can't believe how fast the second year of her life flew by.  I found out I was pregnant with Porter 2 weeks after her first birthday.  The pregnancy flew by and so did the first 9 months after her birthday.  Before I knew it Porter was born (she was 20 months) and we were in the newborn craziness for a few months, then BAM she was 2!! We are loving this new age she is in-- she is so fun!  It's a joy to watch her learn and hear her talk more and more each day.  She is so precious and a blessing to our lives.  We love you Greensie girl!

Porter turned 4 months on October 19th!  He weighs 13 pounds, 13 ounces (25th percentile) and is 26 inches long (75th).  He is in 3-6 month clothes and about to move to a size 3 diaper.  My kids are heavy wetters so I tend to move them up right when they hit the weight range for the next size.  Just when we finally got him sleeping in his crib he got another cold-- he just got off an antibiotic 2 weeks ago from an ear infection!  We've pretty much all been sick for the past month.  Sleeping through the night has been an elusive game to say the least.  He was sleeping 8-9 hour stretches (11-12 hours total) at night for an entire month and then he hit a growth spurt and got sick so he started to regress.  After he got on the antibiotic we moved him to his crib and he started sleeping fine again (we even got some 11 hour stretches out of him!), then he got sick again!!  Lately he has been doing pretty bad at night...up crying several times.  I've been letting him sleep in the Rock and Play again since it has an incline and he is doing much better-- last night he went 10.5 hours without a feeding.  I think it is just hard for him to get good rest when he is laying flat on his back and is all congested.  Anyways, praying for a speedy recovery for him so we can get back to normal and we can all get some rest again!  Breast feeding is still going strong-- yay!  We've gotten into a good groove and I don't foresee the relationship ending anytime soon, at least I hope not.  He is almost rolling over and really enjoying his activity mat.  He has recently started playing in the activity jumper too and he LOVES it!  His fists are constantly in his mouth and he is starting to grab for toys and put those in his mouth as well!  He has a lovely little rash all over his face from all the slobber he gets on his face from chewing everything :)  I think that is it for now...I will post soon about my big girl's 2nd birthday-- it was a blast!

As of yesterday, this little guy is 3 months old!  Such a handsome little dude, if I may say so myself :)

Work it girl!  Did you know that heels and PJ's are the latest trend on the runway?  Okay, maybe this isn't hot in New York City, but at the Hellekson household, it's so IN! 

On August 19, Porter turned 2 months old!  I honestly can't even remember his stats from his doctor appointment.  I think he was around 11 pounds though.  Obviously, this post is a little late and I'm having trouble remembering everything that was going on around the 2 month mark (even though it was only a month ago! ha). I'll go ahead and post about 3 months since he is 13 weeks now.  Around 2 weeks ago when we put him on Prevacid he started sleeping 8-9 hour stretches at night which was a huge relief for mom and dad.  He likes to play on his activity mat now that he isn't super uncomfortable laying on his back.  He is a terrible napper right now.  He sleeps about 30 or 45 minutes but then wakes up and cries until I either hold him or it is time to eat-- it's very frustrating!  I'm hoping as he gets more mobile his naps will improve.  He goes to bed at 8:30pm, I wake him up at 11 to feed him one last time, and then he sleeps until 8am.  I'll take that over good naps any day!  He is in size 2 diapers and 3 month clothes.  He is overall a happy guy and loves to smile. I'm really enjoying the age he is getting to now...so sweet! I'll post his 3 month pictures soon....

Whenever I get stressed out about life or feel like I can't do this whole "two kid" thing, I just look at these precious pictures and remind myself that God chose me to be their mommy and I need to step up to the plate and be the best mom I can be for them!  Aren't they just beautiful little creations?

 We've had such a fun summer this year-- it is so nice now to enjoy the outdoors that Greenlee is walking and running.  Last summer we couldn't do that!  Some of the things we've enjoyed doing this summer are:

Swimming

Snackin'

Tummy time

Snoozing

....and helping daddy wash cars!

We are starting her off early with the driving...she's already got the 10 and 2 hand position down!
